Today is Sunday and I am probably the epitome of lazy today. I woke up feeling like somebody hit me with a bat even after 9 hours of sleep. I didn’t take anything – so I don’t know what caused me to feel this way. I have basically done nothing all day.
Usually I don’t mess my diaper at night but Peter had a nice little surprise waiting for him this morning. I must have ate something or consumed something because last night was all sorts of weight. Messy diaper + super tired + 9 hours of sleep = something happened.
The only thing I can think of is that I had consumed a “green smoothie” consisting of strawberries, spinach, blueberries, chia seeds, greek yogurt and some protein powder. I know healthy right! Other than that – all I really had wasn’t anything out of the ordinary. Take a look and let me know what you think.
Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs + 8 oz water + gluten free bread w/ organic jelly
Lunch: Chicken + salad + carrots + broccoli + small bag of m&ms
Snack: Pretzels, carrots and a small bowl of Kashi cereal
Dinner: Turkey sandwich + potatoes + green beans w/ some 1 scoop of ice cream
Snack: Green smoothie
None of that is really out of the ordinary for me besides that green smoothie. So maybe something in that green smoothie didn’t agree with my stomach or something last night. Because not to be too graphic – but it was A LOT. LOL. Yes, I can laugh at myself about it. It is funny to me. Because it rarely happens to me at night for some reason. Fortunately the Bambino Diaper with a booster I had on protected the bed…NO LEAKS!
I also ran 5 miles yesterday too with a little weight-lifting. Again, nothing crazy out of the ordinary.
Maybe some of you health gurus or science geeks can tell me if any of those ingredients is known to cause excessive sleepiness and/or be behind my huge diaper mess! Don’t get me wrong – there is something nice on some level about a messy diaper but in all honesty I would like to avoid things that upset my incontinence to that extreme. I do try to avoid things that irritate my system like that because I do feel bad sometimes for Peter having to change such a messy diaper. I know he doesn’t mind or anything as he has changed thousands but you know…I love him…so sometimes I feel bad especially when he has stuff he has to do besides clean me up for 10-15 minutes.
Anyways, thoughts would be appreciated. I hope everyone had a good weekend.
And I just also wanted to send a special thank you to everyone thus far that is supporting my site through my premium content section and the couple advertisements I have on my site. This site has grown to huge proportions and the traffic caused me to have to upgrade to a VPS (fairly expensive hosting service) in order to handle all the traffic without people waiting forever for pages to load! So, it does cost a bit more but my blog is my ‘baby’ so I had to upgrade! I love all my supporters and I receive tons of emails and comments in support. So, again I just wanted to THANK everybody who supports me. I truly, from the bottom of my heart, appreciate your support!
Yeah. I’m like that too. I don’t have anything important to do on Sunday. I like to lay around the house, watching tv, listening to music, read Hemmings Classic Car, all while wearing a diaper. That’s the day for me. 🙂
Given the weather’s up and down, it might not be something you ate. It is possible you just got a bug from allergens. Have you had a long week? Perhaps the tiredness had to do with your body playing catch-up. It could also just be a 24 hour bug/flu. I hope you are feeling better.
Given I am a pastor, Sundays are never my lazy day, but I try to have one during the week (when I can actually get 1 day during the week) to just relax and do nothing. The brain and the body need that time to rest.
A lot of people in Iowa got sick this past week with upper respiratory infections, myself one of them.
Yea Adrian, we don’t need you getting to the point where you’re too sick to reply to posts.
I wish when any budy where’s a adult diaper they should be wearing real nice looking adult plastic baby pants like I have to do on the weekends so some people can see me in them.
Hi. Sounds like you had a rough and peaceful night there. I’ll venture a wild guess the 5 mile run did you in for that big mess. Anything else with your workout must have lossened stuff up as well. Sorry. Everyone’s different when it comes to exercises.
Several years ago, after I would go to Waffle House after I got done at the gym I went to about Midnight and I would get a Grilled Chicken Salad with crispy bacon and an over hard egg on top. That would be after my Monday Night Raw workout while watching Monday Night Raw while working out.
Either Sunday Night or Monday Morning I would take my dose of fiber caps for my own reasons just for extra fiber and such. After said work out and late night snack, Tuesday Morning I would have a big mess in my diaper after waking up. Sorry if a bit graphic and only you Adrian can go graphic on your blog here. Ha! Due your clean up time, just be sure to return the favor to Peter. Take it easy. Dragon-Knight
I wore a diaper today while working out. Am I glad I wore it. By the time I was done working out, my diaper was soaked, but my pants were dry.
That’s something I’ve always wanted to try, but being military I’m still kinda nervous about it. Living the lifestyle is kinda hard for me 🙁 I’m about 3/4 DL, with a small AB side. I don’t usually mess but I did the other night into some cloth diapers I made. Cleanup was 2 dozen wipes and I bleached the diapers to make sure they were clean. Maybe I should stick to Bambino disposables for messing? Got any tips for wearing diapers while working out? Which kind did you wear?
I want to thank Adrian and Brian for having this blog because it’s one of the few places I feel comfortable among others. Thanks 🙂
I’m about 10% AB and 90% DL. If I can find someone to play daddy for me, change my diapers, help me with my meals, etc. I’d gladly be a baby.
True Jason, I was at Wal Mart and my diaper was Big time soaked, but my jean shorts were dry, whew!!!!!!!
That’s good. It’s no fun when your diaper leaks and your pants get wet. I’ve had that happen.
Yes Jason I agree but it happens not often thankfully but over the years of wearing we no how much a new diaper can handle so nights are wet but bed is not
Adrian,
Do you put a pad (like a Chux) underneath you for additional protection, or do you rely on the diaper and booster alone?
I ask because right now I wear cloth and PUL pants at night. It’s better than my Attends at handling leaks, but without the Chux underneath me, my bottom sheet would be soaked. Sometimes it is anyway, if I move during the night and the Chux crumples. I’m kind of at a loss as to what to do, as I can’t really afford the more expensive brands like Abena or Bambino.
I have a mattress pad and a protector on my mattress because that’s when I pee the most. I’d wear cloth diapers if I knew where I could find them near where I live.
Sounds like it might have been both the green smoothie and the time you consumed it that led to your night time messy diaper. I have IBS and try to avoid certain foods that throw off my system. When I accidentally eat something that causes my system to get out of balance, I make sure I am in diapers for the duration of my flare up. I have messed my diaper at night on a few occasions after a dinner that didn’t agree with me. Lazy Sundays are the best!
Hi Adrian, maybe your mind and body have been exhausted from all your changes in life and you needed a lazy Sunday so you slept harder. I know when the weather changes from sunny to cloudy and rainy I sleep more. I’m sorry about you waking up in a mess but hey…at least you have Peter to help you out. I know my urologist has told me to stay away from acidic or foods with lots of sugar. Including coffee and beer….I can’t so I continue with my OAB issues. So, maybe it was that green smoothie combo,:)
Oh…hope you all had a good weekend too!
Wanna talk lazy sunday? Mine was as lazy if not more. Layed on my couch and watched tv from morning to night getting up only for making a lil dinner. Course ive been sick since wed so thats why. Nothing but tv, gatorade, vitamin C and naps. Mighta been an abena diaper in there too 😉
Sundays are rarely lazy for me. I’m always doing something. 🙂
The smoothie did it. High in fiber + chia seeds + unknown type of protein(whey or soy) definitely would flush anyone out. Love the blog!
Oh and dang.. 5 miles! Keep that up.. I’m at a steady 3, I keep getting injuries. If you have any insights on that let me know!
Yeah smoothies tend to do that I don’t know why, and 5 miles nice i’m running 3 and a half miles plus I walk one mile to and from work which is good exercise for my right knee, I injured a few weeks ago helping my friend move lots of heavy lifting.
Adrian I haven’t actually gone back to wearing diapers 24/7 yet but I want to ask my parents but I’m afraid and I hope u can give me advice on how to do that
