Today was a lot less eventful than yesterday that is for sure! Really not much interesting to report just went to work and had a pretty uneventful yet very long and dragging day ๐ but I don’t want to bore you with that.. so I will spare you a few minutes ๐ hehe
So i had a question for you all – Peter and i have begun using medicated powder because we think that it helps to stop diaper rash and really works to make it feel better. I did some research on it and it looks like the difference in it is the aloe and vitamin E. Now i am not really good about knowing what they do but I do know aloe works sometimes in my lotions to soothย my skin! I don’t really know if it has done anything but I really like it and I think that it makes me feel cleaner and more soothed! Has anyone else tried it or found another kind of powder that works in the same way?
Hugs!.
I use Baby Gold Bond. It has 5% zinc which helps cut down on diaper rashes. I only use it when I get a rash, the rest of the time I enjoy using Johnson&Johnson baby powder–IT SMELLS SO GOOD!!. I also use Diaprotex for my really bad diaper rashes. I also use Baby Gold Bond when I shave my diaper area as the powder cuts down on the iritation.
I enjoy your site!!
Stay wet and happily diapered!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unfortunately, I don’t use many powders outside of standard baby powder (JOHNSON’S Baby Powder Comforting Vanilla & Jasmine). I only really use cream for rashes and not powders. Sorry I can’t help more.
I have been using the Gold Bond medicated powder a little bit lately, as I have had some irritation on my upper thighs from plastic pants, etc. It seems to work well, if I keep it up for a week or so, but the standard Gold Bond really has a medicated type smell, so I get back to my J&J as soon as I can. I do like how the medicated powder gives a cooling effect when it gets wet… Speaking of that, I’ve come up with something that I have never heard anybaby else mention doing… Typically, I wear training panties at night, and sometimes on into the next day. Sometimes I’ll put two pairs on and cover them with plastic pants. Then, and this is the new part… I add several ice cubes to the outer layer between the plastic pants and the outer training pants, and with the medicated powder and the cold from the ice cubes melting, I’m constantly aware of my ever wetting state, and any time I want, I can grab a couple more ice cubes and add them… I know I’ve never heard of this anywhere, and it just occured to me one day to try it, and now I look forward to doing it under ever-expanding circumstances (as in going out to the movies, etc.) For me, part of the thrill (besides the actual real wetting) is having something happen that I don’t have a lot of control over, but is blatantly obvious (as in getting colder and wetter by the moment).
Oh, well, that my 2 cents.

PS I’ve never seen the Comforting Vanilla Johnson’s Baby Powder… I’m gonna have to look for that!
