I just read about a story of a man having to break into a convenience store to steal money to be able to buy his child diapers. Its wrong to break into anything and steal but its just truly sad to be so poor to have to steal money to provide diapers for your child. I hope the judge feels sympathy for this man lets him off the hook on this one if the reasoning behind why he did is true.
It truly makes me realize how lucky I am to be able to afford the everyday amenities that I have available to me. One of my New Year’s Resolutions was to be more appreciative of the things that I have already and be thankful for the everyday things that I have. If you want a link to the story it is below:
That is the sad state of this world. I expect many people are one step away from feeling they have too do this. I hope he gets a discharge. If the story is true, what kind of society allows people to fall through the cracks like this.
