Exhausted. that pretty much describes me right now! I just feel so worn out and I am afriad I may be getting sick 🙁 I’m really hoping not though! Peter and I went for a walk today after work it was nice to get out but the whole time I just felt a lot more tired than normal and I kept getting hot flashes. I’m just keeping my fingers crossed!
This is not really diaper related but I have begun using that Johnson’s baby oil for my skin and i LOVE it! I went and bought some the other night after reading online that it helps your skin! After I get out of the shower I put it on even before I dry off and it makes me feel so much better! I am having Peter start putting it on my bottom too after I have been changed. it makes me feel really soft and I like having a soft baby like bottom 🙂 But if anyone has dry skin like me..it is well worth it and it will even help your bottom! 🙂
Alright well off for an early bed to hopefully keep the sickness from coming my way! Hugs!.
Hi again guys,
Read your message here about the baby oil thingie… Surprised you hadn’t discovered it long ago. It’s one of those things I just never left behind as I grew up. You could always explain away a small bottle of baby oil in the medicine cabinet.
So, anyway, I’ve been using J&J Baby Oil for as long as I can remember, especially since I have shaved “down there” for nearly 25 years… Baby oil helps “things” to adjust, instead of the skin sticking, etc. J&J Baby Powder works for the same reasons.
For an interesting combination, try taking a teaspoon or so of J&J Baby Oil in the palm of your hand, and then putting about the same or slightly less amount of J&J Baby Powder over the oil, then mix it well in your hand first before applying it… The smell of both combined is wonderful, and this way you can just apply it “sort of like a cream”. You probably get the same basic thing by applying oil first, and then powdering up, the regular way, but for some reason, I prefer mixing and then applying.
A;so, nobody commented on the ice method I mentioned in the medicated powder post, probably because most of you use disposables, and they are not really conducive to the ice method. It’s worth switching to cloth for a little test, tho. Heck, if you don’t have a cloth diaper, you could even try a terry towel and make that work.
Oh, well… we all have stuff that we have done for years, and it works, so we mostly just stick to “that which we already know”. I’m adventurous by nature, tho, and love to try different stuff just for shits’n’giggles.
