Lately, I have been trying to be more health conscious and that starts with drinking a lot more water to help curb my appetite as well as help flush out the toxins in my system. Plus, water is good for you in regards to a variety of reasons. But, definitely been trying to get a gallon of water in daily. Which has led to a lot of wet diapers that is for sure. But, I have also noticed that with drinking more water – my bowel movements have some how become even more regular and predictable. I don’t know if somehow it is because it is a combination of more water and fiber? I don’t really know.
But, Peter has definitely had his work cut out for him lately with all the changes. But, you only have one life to live and I figure I better stop drinking so much diet soda and juice and try to stick to drinking more water. I have already noticed a difference in my skin and appetite in addition to the other things.
I have a bad habit of binging on bad foods and I am really trying to break that habit. If anyone else has any tips on what you did to lose weight/lean out/control binges and all that I am more than willing to hear them. I am not overweight by any means but sometimes it gets annoying when I do so well for a few days and then I go and binge on chocolate and chips and then I just feel miserable. Plus, it doesn’t exactly do wonders for bowel movements if you catch my drift. Graphic…yeh I know. Anyways, if you have any tips or what not – feel free to let me know in the comments!
ALSO, as a side note if you want to write a guest post for my blog – I am looking and open. Just CONTACT ME on my contact page and let me know your interested and if you have a topic you would like to write on. Have a good night!
Hello there. I also know the importance of drinking enough water. In the start of my truck driving when at truck stops, I usally got a lot of PowerAde and Gatorade type of drinks. Over the course of my training period those did get old very fast. After I got my own truck, I kept a good supply of bottle water all the time on the truck and its better than soft drinks/sugar type drinks. Currently not trucking and have a very bad run of bad luck in November and December and lost my trucking job in January. Currently working an old job at Dairy Queen and drink nothing but water just to stay cool and hydrated on the job. You gotta do what you gotta do when it comes to work. I plan to get back into trucking and its going to be very hard. Take it easy.
I drink a lot of water also, mostly for health, although I have grown to like it a lot. There are several tricks I use that I wold be glad to share. I usually put a decent amount of ice in mine. Keeps it nice and cold, gives it a little bit of taste, and also forces your body to work a little harder, burning more calories. Not suggested right before exercise but any other time is fine, especially since you live in a hot place. You can also add things to it. The flavor “mixers” you can buy at the store are good but straight sugar. If you put a lemon slice or two it will give your next several glasses good flavor and it increases your metabolism. You can also put in some smashed berries, only for flavor on this one though. Good luck and I understand about the extra diaper changes.
Make sure to not drink too much water, you can flush electrolytes out of you body.
You are right about water and fiber. A diet high in fiber without enough water will have the opposite effect and bring everything to a grinding halt, “if you catch my drift”.
Great job on cutting down on diet soda. Not only does the aspartame make your body retain fat and toxins, it is also not as healthy for the kidneys as regular sugar. I have read you for years but is my first post; thank you so much for creating this helpful site.
