The epitome of wearing diapers out in public for some is wearing diapers to the doctor’s office. To many it is a controlled environment where non-judgment is suppose to take place and a person is suppose to feel safe. The doctor’s office is a “rush” for many diaper lovers and adult babies for wearing diapers out in public. The doctor is suppose to be non-judgmental in the optimal situation while allowing the diaper lover or adult baby to feel like they are taking that next step into acceptance and wearing diapers more regularly.
I honestly cannot remember a time when a doctor ever judged me for wearing diapers when I have gone in the past. For as long as I can remember, I have always seen a doctor wearing a diaper. I saw a normal pediatrician up until the age of 18 and don’t remember any specific judgment.
I do remember a couple experiences at the pediatrician’s office I went to where I am not sure what they were checking for or whatever but maybe that I was developing OK “down there”? The one time I remember when I was 15 years old and the nurse had me undress down to just my diaper and cover myself with a “napkin-like” drape that covered my my body. Then, a physician lady came in but it was a “resident” as she called herself that was working with my usual doctor. She asked me the typical questions and all that and listened to me breathe as well as my heart. Then, she asked me to lay down on the exam table where she uncovered my top briefly (maybe 3-4 seconds) and covered me back up (again, maybe just checking for development stages as I later learned)? Then, she lifted up the bottom half of the drape exposing my diaper and she didn’t even hesitate. She untaped my diaper tabs from both sides and lifted up my bottom for a brief second and she taped my diaper back up. She then said “everything looks to be developing appropriately”. Again, I researched later they were checking some sort of development stages.
For most people it is an uneventful visit. I encourage you to try and judge/read your physician’s persona when selecting a physician to see if you plan on wearing a diaper. The one thing I have noticed is that the younger doctor’s tend to be a lot more accepting and “playful” is the best way I would call it – as in they don’t make a big deal about it and one even “patted” the side of my diaper after taping it back up one time (this was a female in the ER at the time). But, the younger one’s seem to just be more accepting in general than the older-school doctor’s.
Just I encourage you that if you do wear a diaper to the doctor’s office to please be respectful and mindful and don’t act like the stereotype that sometimes the public makes adult babies and diaper lovers out to be. We are better than that.
I am very fortunate with the doctors that I go to period is stated in my chart that I am incontinent and that I do wear diapers to manage it. So even when going to the ER, specialist, or my everyday position they all know that I am wearing a diaper. It’s nice to go into the doctors office and not feel ashamed or embarrassed about my situation and I can talk freely and openly to my doctors.
I guess that the weirdest experience at the doctor’s office in a diaper would be is when I first met a new doctor and I was checking in to the hospital for some procedures. The doctor had me land the examining table, as she lifted my gown seeing my diaper she had no problem with I’m taping it to make sure that I did not have any bed sores or diaper rash before the procedures. Afterwards she take me back up and explain to me that during the procedures I would be unable to wear a diaper that they would have to catheterize me until afterwards. In recovery I had several nurses come in over a period of time to make sure that I was still clean and dry.
Hospital and diapers
I have a congenital foot problem and am going for surgery to solve it which will involve removing part of my toes, whilst I haven’t got a date for the hospital visit as of yet I am seriously thinking about asking the nurses if it would be a good idea for me to be put into diapers as I will be asleap for the operation and I don’t want to be cauterised as I know that will only cause me more pain.
Also I am a bed-wetter and don’t want the embarrassment of causing a nuisance to the team that will be looking after me during my stay in hospital and whilst I have heard that hospital diapers aren’t that good its better than nothing, and if it comes to being comfortable and padded up over being uncomfortable and left with unnecessary pain I will choose being diapered any-time.
This is far from my first visit to hospital as I have had multiple ops over my life-time but it’s still going to be the first time I have been in diapers at a hospital since I was a baby in arms almost 36 years ago following my birth and I don’t want to be embarrassed about the fact I will be wearing a diaper or two during and after my surgery.
I would have been in hospital last year for a tooth operation to remove an abscess on my lower jaw in a part I cannot brush but that operation was cancelled so this will be something new to me has anyone got any advice as to how I should feel about because I don’t like hospitals and needles or injections if so please let me know.
Anyway must go now with thanks
Yours sincerely

I wear my diapers to my doctor appointments a lot, they don’t mind at all. But they know I’ve been incontinent since I was 9 or 10. They sometimes untape my diaper to make sure everything is okay during my check-ups. Sometimes when I wait in the exam room waiting for my doctor for about 15 or 20 mins, I starting wetting my diaper because I didn’t have time for the restroom. But that’s ok, my doctor, she is very nice, she gave me a new diaper so I can stay dry, but it was after my doctor gave me a check-up.
, thank you for your comments I love wearing diapers it makes me horny
My doctor’s known about my incontinence since I started seeing him as my doctor when I turned 19, of course he untapes my diaper for check ups to make sure everything is ok. Plus if I happen to wet or mess waiting one of the nurses will hand me another diaper to make sure I’m good and clean and dry for my check up. My pediatrician was the same way when I was younger I was fortunate to have a very caring pediatrician growing up that always made sure I was always taken good care of.
I never had a problem at the Dr office and grew up incontinent like you have but i;m older
Because I have both urinary and fecal incontinence I have to wear cloth diapers and plastic panties all the time so I always go to my doctors and the hospital in my diapers and plastic panties. Because I wear cloth diapers and plastic panties I always have my diaper bag with extra diapers and clothing. I have never had a problem with wearing my diapers and plastic panties to my doctors or hospital. When I went to my female doctor’s office she had me remove my pants get on the exam table. She unsnaped my plastic panties and saw that my diapers were very wet. Then when she unpinned my diapers she saw that my diapers were also messy. When I started to get embarrassed and said that I was sorry for wetting and messing my diapers she said you don’t have to be embarrassed. She said that is why you wear diapers, plastic panties. She asked me if I had extara diapers with me. I told her that I did have clean diapers in my diaper bag. She said she would have her nurse come in and clean up my diaper area so that she could finish examining me. When she was finished examining me she had the nurse help me pin on my clean. The nurse told me to just lift up my butt so she could get my clean diaper under me. She told me to just lay down and she would pin my diaper on me and snap my plastic panties back on. That experience really tought me not to be embarrassed about wearing and having to us my diapers. I have never again been embarrassed about people knowing that I have to wear and use cloth diapers and plastic panties.
I love wearing diapers and thank you for helping me
I wear my diapers to my doctors appt and often times out in the open. My doctors never have any issues with me wearing diapers out in the open.
It’s nice to hear from others about a common problem and shared information to know that you are not the lone ranger out there. Also, by knowing this it is good to share and acquire information that you would not be able to by keeping to yourself.
Yes bill I agree with you this site kind of opens new doors that for years I have kept secret
OK, my first comment on this website! I’ve been lurking here for a few weeks. I really appreciate the frankness and decency of this site. It seems like most of the other sites on the topic are either very institutional or just downright trashy and WAAAY TMI! This is obviously the gathingplace of a family which I have been part of for awhile but not really found many other members that I ever wanted to hang out with. That has changed…you all are great!
On that note, I would like to do a review of a couple of products that I purchased from xpmedical. I think others would find it useful. If I were to do that, is that something you’d put up as a guest post, Adrian? I would include pictures of the products in question. You don’t want to see my bum though…..it’s not pretty like yours. 😀 I am a pretty good writer, and I’m dying to tell someone my findings, but because of the products they involve, not everyone wants to know. I think your audience would. If you’re interested, shoot me an email at spamthis dot really at yahoo dot com and I’ll give you my real address. I use this one when I have to post it for all the world to see to keep spam away from my real email address.
Even if you’re not interested in my review, you’re awesome!
In spite of incontinence I don’t visit the doctor very often, Very recently I had to wear diapers to the doctor to have hand surgery. I really don’t like involving others in my diaper wearing – I hope that very few people (other than close friends and family) know that I must. So it is always my goal not to be seen, i was dreading surgery because they almost always (my experience) make you undress to your underwear. I had my best pull-up on, I had a pair of regular underwear on over top and was prepared with gym shorts in case I could wear those as they conceal better. I was delighted when I was told only to undress to the waist. I did so and put the gown on. I tried to tie the back of the gown in the two places required but with no luck. The lower tie was right in the middle of my back… After 5 minutes of fidgeting the nurse offered to help me. She tied the back and evidently noticed my pull-up which I am guessing, like an idiot, I had left sticking up over the back of my pants. She pulled my pants up farther and did not say a word. I was mortified to have been so careless. I can’t think of any other reason she’d have pulled up my pants. I always try after using the restroom or changing clothes to check to make sure there is no peeking but in my frustration with the gown I skipped a habit. I envy all of you that are so much more comfortable with this.
I don’t visit the doctor unless I feel that he needs to know about a problem I’m having, or to find out whether it’s a sign of something more serious.
I wish life could be all sunshine and rainbows, but I’ve not had good experiences wearing diapers to doctor’s offices, so I usually don’t if I can avoid it. Now, keep in mind that although I wear diapers nearly all the time, I’m not fully incontinent and really only have problems at night. I’m an AB and wouldn’t mind being incontinent full time, but it’s not the case.
Years ago, my regular physician had detected hematourea (blood in my urine, but in amounts only detectable in lab tests) and wanted to make sure it wasn’t a bigger problem, so she referred me to a urologist. I wore a disposable diaper to the urologist’s office, figuring that they’d probably just want a urine sample and wouldn’t have me undress. I was wrong. The urologist looked at my (dry) diaper and immediately asked, “How long’s that problem been going on?”
I was speechless. It was early in the morning and I wasn’t fully socially alert. In retrospect I probably should have said something like, “That is a lifestyle choice and is none of your business,” or at least, “That has nothing to do with this issue, so please move along.”
I don’t actually remember what I said. I do remember his saying, “There’s a ___-year-old man sitting in front of me in an adult diaper, and that’s just not right.” (Yes, I still present as male most of the time, hence the “man” phrasing. My girl side tends to be a private thing.) Now, he probably just wanted to help, being a doctor and all, or maybe he was trying to drum up more business by coming up with a reason why I should come in for more appointments, but there was nothing on my chart about incontinence, and I was there because of a referral for another issue entirely. I don’t think he said the right thing.
I think I told him that I was there about the hematourea, not about any incontinence issues that I may or may not be having, but I was pretty emotionally traumatized by then, so I don’t remember exactly what I said. He didn’t press the issue farther than that, but to me it seemed as if he’d pressed it pretty far already. It’s still upsetting to think about, years later. I still don’t wear diapers when I go to see a doctor. I have exactly one pair of grown-up underwear, and that’s the only thing I use it for.
Now this wouldn’t have happened to a person who was truly incontinent. If I had been, it would have said that on my chart, the urologist would have read it and seen the history of that issue, and that would’ve been that, because I was there for a different specific issue. Depending on why I was incontinent in this hypothetical scenario, he might have taken that into account, but it certainly wouldn’t have been a surprise discovery that I was wearing a diaper. But anyway, if there’s nothing in your records indicating why you would be diapered, there’s at least a chance that a doctor is going to be surprised and ask embarrassing questions upon seeing that you are.
That’s why I don’t go to the doctor unless something hurts. I’ve never trusted doctors to keep quiet about whether a client wears diapers for what reason. If they see that you’re wearing a diaper, they have to ask you so many personal questions regarding why you’re wearing. If they see that the diaper is dry, they assume that you don’t need diapers and insist that you remove it, or that you refrain from wearing in the future.
I’ve had experiences that were almost as bad. Why is it that doctors, when confronted with the sight of an adult in a diaper for whatever reason, almost always try to get you to use some other incontinence treatment (usually pills or Kegel exercises). It’s as if the diaper offends them for some reason. I’ve had to actually tell some of them that I’m a DL, just so they’ll leave me alone.
I’ve had worse experiences with psychologists/counselors that I’ve talked to about my desire for diapers. One actually misunderstood, and thought I was talking about an attraction to babies! Naturally, I fled from her office and never went back.
Another called me a “sex addict” and wanted me to join a sex-addiction group. She practically screamed at me, “Babies wear diapers! Adults don’t!!”
To the one who wears cloth 24/7: Were you ever in the hospital for extended periods? If so, how did you manage to get them to change and wash your diapers? I imagine most medical personnel would put up a fight and suggest all sorts of alternatives. I ask because if I’m ever hospitalized, I’d want to be in cloth, for the simple reason that I’m a bedwetter and cloth ones leak less.
If that isn’t messed up, I don’t know what is. I’ve never understood where doctors and psychiatrists get that idea that if an adult wears diapers, that they’re either sex-addicts, or you have a perverse sexual attraction to children or babies. I don’t know you from Adam, but you don’t seem like either. You just like wearing diapers and using them for their intended purposes. There’s nothing perverse about that. And doctors and psychiatrists need to mind their damn businesses.
I agree with you Rachel I live in the UK and had an unsympathetic doctor as well as urologist, I am 35 bordering on 36 yrs young and am male.
Ordinary If I didn’t have problems with incontinence then I wouldn’t wear diapers but unfortunately since 2010 I have had intimitant problems with my bladder.
I’ve tried explaining that to my doctor but he either doesn’t want to listen or understand my reasons, I think there is a lot of ignorance or stigma surrounding this subject and that’s why I am/have tried to campaign against it on a website called http://www.wearing-adult-diapers.com
I also think people who don’t know us should mind their own business because I am not a sex addict or a Adult baby.
I am not perversely attracted by the thought of wearing diapers although if there was a way to reset everything and return to being a baby/toddler I wouldn’t hesitate in going down that road.
Babies don’t have stigmatizum because they wear diapers although I don’t think this is why I choose them that was more out of desperation than anything else.
I don’t care if someone is in diapers or is in a wheelchair or needs help because of their disabilities, I don’t even judge people who choose to wear them as I am one of them although in my case I have hidden disabilities.
Those who judge us should be ashamed of themselves as we are only doing what’s necessary to survive in todays society.
Would someone out there tell me why the last post on here is december30when it is March am I doin something wrong I enjoy this site but can’t seem to figure out where everyone went please help
I’ve been in diapers most of life… since the age of 5 and have visited the doctor, either wearing my cloth diapers and plastic pants when I was little thru high school and then switching to disposable diapers since college. I am now 55 and it’s just the type of underwear I wear and they know it.
Wonderful story. The unfaltering movement of the resident as she went to untape your diaper was particularly nice.
has anyone ever worn baby printed diapers like super dry kids diapers from ABU that is all I wear already saw my doctor with a pull up and she asked how long you had this condition and that’s when I told her I am a bed wetter all my life but now whenever I get nervous I have accidents and she marked in my report that I am incontinent . all this was a lie so I can wear diapers more often. My question is my next physical is next month and I want to know when she checks me down there and sees the printed baby diaper will she ask me why the baby looking diaper what should I tell her I don’t want her knowing I am a AB DL to top it off I had laser hair removed on any area that a diaper would touch and hung like a 12 yr old boy .lol so will she put something neg. on my heath report without telling me
and would she think I have issues when she sees the baby printed diapers that I am wearing
My updated situation
As you know from my previous reply I have a major operation coming up this December, and I will have to try and find a way to tell the nurse/doctor that I will be needing to wear a diaper before my surgery.
I will be going under the knife so to speak of on the 11th December which is next Sunday and during this time I will be sedated or anicitised this will be the first major surgery on my body since I was 13 years of age in 1993 and I am naturally worried about how my body will react to being in a controlled or artificial coma.
After my surgery which will be happening at Carlisle hospital in Cumbria I should be out or discharged during the same day although there is the chance of me staying for the night for post operation check ups I may be in diapers because I will essentially be immobile for 24 hrs.
After my discharge from hospital I will be recovering from the surgery for 6-8 weeks at home and will be fortunate enough to spend Christmas and New Year 2016-2017 with relatives in my pearents house where I currently live.
Although again I will be immobile so may have to spend alot of my time wearing diapers and basically regressing back to being a toddler again at least temporarily because I won’t be able to make it to the toilet in my leg brace and this means that I will have to go when I can if I can.
Obviously I will keep you informed as to any other news or progress in my situation as things develop but until then I can’t say much.
Yours sincerely

both my primary doctor and my urologist are females and I been seeing them for 5 yrs and I always go for my yearly exam with diapers and at first they ask me is this a recent condition when they first saw me and I lie and told them I always been a bed wetter but now I have a very active bladder and this is how I manage it and she put on my medical records I am incontinent and continue my exam. but the best part is I had laser hair removal 5 years ago before I made the decision to go to the doctors office with diapers on.So from my waist down I am completely hairless, cost me a fortune but it matches my very small penis and tiny testicles I truly look like a little boy when she examine me .now my urologist is a different story she wants to try to cure me but I game her the excuse that I gave up in treating my incontinets and got use to being in diapers and she left me alone after that.i build a good relationship with both doctors and last year I when wearing a ABU super dry kid diaper when my primary doxtor examine me explain to her that my wife found these diapers online and they are much more absorbent then the adult diapers and she responded . really! but in a nice way.last thing. I always smell like Johnson baby lotion which I put all over my body just before I go to the doctors office. been married 21 yrs and my wife supports me and even diapers me at night we have a strong relationship.
How about bringing them in to the waiting room?
Personal Update
I know its been a while since I last posted anything on your website as my last entry was back in 2015, however here’s a update regarding my entry about my then up coming operation on my foot.
The opration went well and I was only put under for 4 hours and thankfully didn’t have to wake up wondering why am I diapred?, having not been in one at the time of my operation.
However I do still need to wear diapers due to verious factors that Iv’e touched on since 2010, And yes wearing diapers again is great no more rushing to get to the toilets on time or worries at nights because I sleep much better and stay drier than if I were not in them.
The three years since my last post have gone quickly cant belive I will be 40 next year wow where has the time gone?,
Iv’e got a new dog shes called freeway and is almost 2 by now and I thakfully still have a paied job overseas working in a bar as I unfortunately lost my last one in the UK through no fault of my own due to the floods and severe storm damage of 2015, all set backs aside my life has been prity un eventual although I write this whilst sitting in a clean diaper and in bed as its almost 6 Am on good friday in 2019.
As i seid in my earlier posts I couldn’t have forseen or imavened being back in diapers in my late 30- to early 40’s, although life for obvious reasons had other plans and although I look and feel like a toddler whilst in my adult diapers I won’t let this get me down.
Anyway that’s about it for now, hopefully it won’t be another 3 years until my next reply so its goodbye for now.
Yours sincerly
Chinababy888.
The doctors office is a free source of forced humiliation. Once you make up your mind to do it there is no going back. They always give me an ultra sound so my pants have to come down and the nurse does it with another women in the room learning the ultra sound. They asked me if it was ok and of course I said yes. Each time I go my diapers get thicker and more babyish, then plastic pants pants.I know all the women in the office talk about me, they all have that sly smile like I know your secret look.My biggest problem is trying not to get hard, the diaper hides it a lot so I let myself go a little. Then the doctor came in and asked me to pull my diaper down so he could examine me and I was hand hard.Nothing was said but he had the smile too.I was so hot after that I removed my pants and shirt and drove home in just my diapers, pulling next to buses and trucks to let them look. The nude beach is a good place to walk around in just diapers.the doctors office is special though, diapering uploading on baby lotion and powder and driving to the doctors. Then waiting to be seen, sometimes I have to pee bad and have to hold it all through the exam.My diapers are soaked while I stand at the counter paying my bill and by the time I get to my car my diapers and pants are slipping down due to weight of all that pee. Thank you Doctor.
I have loved wearing diapers and plastic pants for years . I have been a crossdresser for just as long . Now retired I crossdress every day. I now have to wear incontinent pads every day for wetting my self has become a problem with older aged people . I have one doctors visit where I put on a diaper and plastic pants on purpose . It was quit evident that I was wearing a diaper and plastic pants , because I put on two diapers and a dubbler then my crinkle plastic pants that make plenty of noise . Walking to the doctors office I could tell most people noticed because of how bulky and noisy the were . It was hard to hide in the waiting room . When I moved in my chair you could hear the plastic pants . When I walked back to the exam room I am sure the outline of my diapers could be seen by all in the waiting room , also the crinkle of the plastic pants . The nurse walking me back to the exam looked at me funny told me to undress ,put a gown on , and I could leave on my diaper . Cats out of the bag . The doctor comes in it’s a female . She must have been told I hade a diaper on . She was very polite did my health exam never saying any thing about my diapers and plastic pants . I think she kept her cool because my other doctor had put in my report that I was wetting myself . The nurses on the other hand were having a problem from not laughing as I waddled through the office crinkle all the way and out the door . I just had to wet myself right then and there . What a fun day that was .
HI, I just wanted to ley everyone know that things don’t always go professionally. I was in to see y doctor and was in stead referred to his nurse practitioner. After a digital exam she proceeded to lecture me about the proper way to be dealing with my incontinence. She essentially berated me for taking the diaper approach over surgery. This was done with with a witness nurse involved. I was mortified and humiliated. So, just beware that things don’t always go the wat they should.
